In 2019, Airbnb launched several new categories of experiences—including Airbnb Adventures.
We made a four-part series of mini documentaries that highlighted the transformative power of immersive travel.

Airbnb Adventures

Just off the coast near Norrköping, a hosted kayak trip offered travelers the chance to paddle into Sweden’s outer archipelago and lay claim to hundreds of empty islands for a night. No roads, no power, just open water and the quiet work of setting up camp on your own patch of rock.

In this short film, I follow anxious guests as they push off, navigate the inlets, and disappear into the wild.
What happens when you step completely off the grid, and how does a guided experience give people the freedom to feel like explorers again?
